José Meeusen is a prolific and generous origami designer. Creativity is a common thread in her life, especially drawing and origami, two expressive disciplines that go well together for her.
In 1991 she attended her first International Origami Convention.
Meeting folders and designers from different countries opened up a whole new world and she was soon corresponding with these many new friends. Inspired by the example of their origami, José’s origami designs flourished.
José has written six origami books, in Dutch. She has won two awards for her contributions to the Origami World Exhibition in Japan, and her models have been published internationally in magazines and books. …READ MORE HERE…
In one of our live Origamigos meetings, the issue of hand pain and trigger finger was brought up: Is there an exercise that can help us heal trigger finger?
Here I will expand on my remarks on that meeting and how I personally addressed those issues.
Over the years I have occasionally suffered from pain in my shoulders or hands, including a “trigger finger”.
Without being able to use my hands in fully, I was seriously concerned about how my work and financial prospects would be affected, including my origami practice.
