Song’s passion for folding paper has bloomed from a hobby he taught himself during childhood to an award-winning origami design business called Creased, Inc.

A few years back, Sok launched a bi-monthly publication, Crease Magazine, dedicated to spreading the joy of folding paper. Twelve issues were published featuring origami designs from well-known creators from all over the world.

In addition, Sok Song is the author of several origami books including Crease and Fold, Origami Chic, and Everyday Origami. He currently lives in New York City and is enrolled in a Studio Art program at Hunter College where he explores the intersection of origami and art.

José Meeusen – Creativity, a Common Thread

José Meeusen is a prolific and generous origami designer. Creativity is a common thread in her life, especially drawing and origami, two expressive disciplines that go well together for her.
In 1991 she attended her first International Origami Convention.
Meeting folders and designers from different countries opened up a whole new world and she was soon corresponding with these many new friends. Inspired by the example of their origami, José’s origami designs flourished.

Expert Interview – Goran Konjevod -Origami Artist

Goran’s profession is mathematics and theoretical computer science. He studied mathematics in his native Croatia at the University of Zagreb (B.S. 1995) and Carnegie Mellon University (M.S. 1998, Ph.D. 2000).
Even though Goran Konjevod is a mathematician by training, he considers his folding-based work primarily an art practice.
